Dogs, Cats, - and Birds?

We have all heard the storys of a dog who travels thousands of miles back to the home of its master. Or how about the heroing a cat whom turns up after a haitus of many days, weeks, and is alive to tell about it. And let us not forget about the carrier pigeons al but left to all but yesteryear utilized even in war. This leads to the question: So what of birds? We can train some, like the Cockatoo to talk. Mongoloians and Natives to North America, and certainly many others continue to practice falconry. Personally, I know little of any birds nature, yet; "Why would a bird seemingly choose to follow me to 3 residences 20 or so miles apart over the course of right around 5 years?" Was it because through my boredom I had to once again test the boundries set forth by man? The same boundries still put in to question by explorers of physics. Whether it be called quantum physics, or metaphysical, or paranormal, or spirtualistic, is really relavent to only one thing. This is that from the time of our youth we are taught to accept, and also question, that there is more to ourselves than our physical being. Yet, whatever this or that, 'More', may be, where is it?, and what is it? Much of spend our adolescence entertaining the magical and the mythical as a real possibility. If any one of us is to thouroughly mind search our life, you will almost certainly find examples of experiences which can be one of three things; 1. Explained, through physics or the physical. 2. Unexplained, no definative proof or disproof. 3. Speculative, you are certain there is something that happened which is commonly referred to as a miracle or faith, or spirit and energy, or to something we as humans must adhere to that we once knew. That sixth sense we credit dogs, cats, and birds with having that we advanced species is to good to take the time to ascertain. What have we, as mankind, left behind, lost, hidden or archived away to be all except extinct, and why? Are our minds programmed to believe it is like the likes of science fiction we observe on television, or the psychological rhetorics of many, or cultured beliefs systems? Or maybe the human thirst for knowledge will continues to allow us to know there were answers for us a long time ago lost somewhere in our humanity left for us to find and put back together.  Just look at society today, we so often want to believe we are better than the generation before us, yet we know it is our person that truely makes one happy, not our technologies or materials. If this were not true, then mankind would never learn anything new. Which is why I am sharing this story. Like many other things in my life, I can't explain it. Like other things, all I know is what I did, and what happened. And here it is.

Long story short. I am still not happy I told the person that I anticipated this bird would be waiting on the roof of my car. With the bird being spooked off by my only witness. I have seen it since.
(I'm editing the chunk of the story that's missing)

  1. Addendum: Coincedence or what have you and many other arguments can certainly be made.
